Dhoop incense are different than typical stick incense. Instead of being rolled on a bamboo core, it is tightly rolled upon itself. Thick, 3 to 4 inch sticks are the result of this hand-rolling process. 
 
Each box comes with a ceramic incense burner, specifically created to accommodate this type of incense. The ceramic holder should be placed in a fire proof holder/plate/bowl.
